These terms govern your use of Candlelit: Spirit Board Seance ("the app"), published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
For entertainment only
Candlelit is a game. The board does not contact anyone, living or dead, and makes no claim of supernatural ability. Every answer is generated on your phone by the app from its own built-in answer pools. Answers are not advice and must not be used to make decisions about your health, money, relationships, safety or anything else that matters. The app is intended for adults (18+).
If you are going through something difficult, please talk to someone you trust or contact a local helpline.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.
Free features
The app is free to download. The Classic Walnut board, up to 5 questions per night, the spirit card and the séance journal with sharing are free, with no time limit. The app contains no ads.
Candlelit Pro subscription
Candlelit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It unlocks unlimited questions, five additional boards and choosing which spirit you summon.
- Plans: weekly, monthly or yearly. The price of each plan is shown in the app and in Google Play, in your local currency, before you confirm.
- Free trial: eligible new subscribers may get a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically at the price shown when you subscribed.
- Renewal: every plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Google Play account; all payment processing is done by Google Play.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in Google Play > Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period already paid for.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
Prices may change. If a price changes for an existing subscription, Google Play notifies you before charging the new price.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policy. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Google Play support; you may also write to [email protected] and we will help where we can.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. The app is provided as it is at any given time.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any decision you make based on the app's answers, for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data stored on your device. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the current version is always available at this address.
