Candlelit: Spirit Board Seance ("the app") is a spirit board game for Android, published by Hugo Software. It is made for entertainment. We collect no personal data.

Your questions stay on your device

The questions you type, the answers the board spells, the spirit card and your séance journal are created and stored only on your device, in the app's own local storage. Answers are generated on your phone by the app itself; your questions are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours that stores your data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything.

Sharing a séance

If you tap Share in the journal, the app creates an image of that séance on your device and opens Android's share sheet. The image leaves your phone only when you choose an app to share it with. We never receive a copy.

No advertising, no analytics

The app contains no advertising SDK, reads no advertising ID, and contains no third-party analytics and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no tracking and no profiling.

Permissions and network activity

The app does not use your camera, microphone, location, contacts or files. It uses vibration for haptic feedback. The game works fully offline; the only network traffic is Google Play Billing, handled by Google Play services on your device, to show prices and check your subscription.

Subscriptions and payment

Candlelit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Your subscription status is read from Google Play on your device.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

Deleting your data

All data lives only on your device: delete séances in the journal, or uninstall the app to remove everything. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. See the data removal page. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; cancel in Google Play > Subscriptions.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address.
